ophthalmologyHorse and alpaca eyes are prone to being injured because of the location on the side of the head and corneal ulceration is therefore relatively common. Our veterinarians have experience diagnosing and treating various ocular issues in horses including corneal ulceration, equine recurrent uveitis, ocular tumours, entropion, glaucoma, vision impairment and cataracts in foals. We place lavage tubes for administering eye treatments and provide full hospital care for eye cases requiring frequent therapy.

Additionally, we have the eye specialists, Drs. Jeff Smith and Cameron Whittaker, from Eye Clinic for Animals, attend the hospital for consultations on complicated cases and to provide full ocular surgical services for our clients and referrals.
